# ScreenGuardian

ScreenGuardian is a private, on-device desktop awareness app that helps you notice posture drift, screen distance, eye-break timing, and desk habits on macOS and Windows without sending camera frames anywhere.

## What ScreenGuardian Does

ScreenGuardian is a desktop awareness app for macOS and Windows. It helps people notice small desk habits in real time while they work:

- Posture drift, including slouching, head tilt, forward head drift, and off-center posture
- Screen distance, including when the user leans too close to the display
- 20-20-20 eye-break timing
- Optional hand-to-face, face-touch, and nail-biting style real-time feedback
- Session metrics, goals, trends, pinned graphs, background use, picture-in-picture, and Notification mode for alerts-only sessions

## Privacy Position

Camera frames are processed locally on the user's machine for real-time feedback, including when the app runs in the background, in Picture-in-Picture, or in Notification mode. They are not sent anywhere and are not stored by ScreenGuardian. Notification mode pauses local stats, goals progress, charts, and alert-history writes while it is active. ScreenGuardian does not need microphone permission and does not listen to the user's room, calls, or conversations. Account services are used for sign-in, access, downloads, device linking, support, optional crash reports, and future subscriptions.

## Access

ScreenGuardian is currently available through early access. Downloads and desktop use require an account with active early-access or Pro access. Eligible accounts can keep using the app during short network outages through a local access cache.
